Ch 11: pastoral peoples on the global stage
- The mongol empire as a Eurasian network
- The religion that we’re most popular were Christianity and Buddhism. The Mongols basically put all the regions together into a network. The silk Road was becoming one of the most achieve that works of commerce beside the Indian Ocean network. The silk Road was a way for people to transport the products for regions to make it easier for people to trade. Although there was a lot of trade involved with products and crops another thing that was common during the silk road where the many diseases brought back and forth. I find it disgusting how diseases spread to the point where people died in a vast majority. Diseases spread all around and people back then were really able to treat it or have came to the conclusion on how or when to treat it.
- another interesting fact they found was the cultural exchange with rye mogols. Instead of fighting among each other the Mongols spread the ideas which made them prosper. They would marry people out of their religion and culture like Christianity. I can see where there was an exchange of ideas.
- Lastly the most interesting part of the session was definitely about the plague The plate and leave East Africa probably by way of the list Chinese market because in expeditions that encompassed Indian Ocean basin. “ is a disease itself was associated with swelling of the lymph nodes Lowes often in the groin terrible headaches high fever and internal bleeding just below the skin.”
